The Health Matters forum is organized by 11 philanthropic foundations committed to ensuring every Californian has the chance to live healthy and well. Leading candidates for governor will respond to questions from communities often left out of policymaking because of geography, income, race and ethnicity, and systemic barriers.

The forum’s setting is intentional. The Inland Empire is a rapidly growing region that reflects California’s diversity, challenges, and opportunities — making it the perfect stage for a conversation about the future of health and wellbeing.

Health is about having access to affordable care and also having a good job, affordable housing, clean air, support across generations, opportunities for sport and play, and thriving relationships in strong communities. This event puts those issues at the center of the 2026 election conversation.
